As a human being, there are some of
life’s lessons we need to learn:
We get bored of being children, are in a rush to grow up, and then
long to be children again.
We lose our health to make money and then lose our money to restore
our health.
By thinking anxiously about the future, we forget the present, such
that we live neither for the present nor the future.
That we cannot make anyone love us. What we can do is to let
ourselves be loved.
That what is most valuable is mot what we have in our lives, but
who we have in our lives.
That a rich person is not the one who has the most, but is one who
needs the least.
That it only takes a few seconds to open profound wounds in persons
we love, and that it takes many years to heal them.
To forgive by practicing forgiveness.
That there are persons who love us dearly, but simply do not know
how to express or show their feelings.
That money can buy everything but happiness.
That two people can look at the same thing and see it totally
different.
That a true friend is someone who knows everything about us, and
likes us anyway.
That it is not always enough that we are forgiven by others, but
that we have to forgive ourselves.
When you know you're right, you can't back down.
Always give others credit that is
rightfully theirs. Don't be afraid of those who might have a better
idea or who might even be smarter than you are.
Be honest and open about who you really
are. People who lack genuine core values rely on external
factors-their looks or status-in order to feel good about
themselves. Inevitably they will do everything they can to preserve
this facade, but they will do very little to develop their inner
value and personal growth.
So be yourself.
Don't engage in a personal coverup of areas that are unpleasing in
your life. When it's tough, do it tough. In other words, face
reality and be adult in your responses to life's
challenges.
Self-respect and a clear conscience are
powerful components of integrity and are the basis for enriching
your relationships with others.
Integrity means you do what you do
because it's right and not just fashionable or politically correct.
A life of principle, of not succumbing to the seductive sirens of
an easy morality, will always win the day.
Loving
Yourself Unconditionally
Here
is monica a humble effort offered to you in the hopes that you'll
find something here that is worth your while, something that moves
or inspires or motivates you in very positive ways.
It's not easy... loving yourself unconditionally, because we've
learned to judge ourselves...
We seem to be driven to find what we perceive as "the missing
piece" in our lives as if we are flawed, or not good enough.
Somehow enough never seems like enough and we live our lives in a
constant and never ending search which leaves u* **hausted.
What we forget are the sweet moments of being present with
ourselves like we are when watching a sunset.
Today, I’m inviting you to take time to be present within
yourself, dwell in your heart space, and give yourself a well
deserved break from striving and struggling...
Just be in the present moment and allow yourself to stop searching
for more and to notice how much you already have inside.
Everyday we’re preoccupied with obligations and responsibilities
under great pressures from others and from ourselves, and what we
truly ignore or forget are ourselves. From today on, let’s start
to love ourselves, unconditionall
